Celebrating a One Year of Senior Leadership, SCS Telkom University Hosts “GROW 2026” Green Initiative
BANDUNG, May 8, 2026 — A spirit of togetherness and environmental stewardship filled the Telkom University campus as the School of Communication and Social Sciences (SCS) successfully hosted GROW (Green Walk For Our World) 2026. The event, held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, brought together the entire SCS community alongside Telkom University’s Senior Leaders.
This year’s event held special significance as it was integrated with the celebration of “One Year of Senior Leadership,” a milestone reflecting on years of leadership excellence while strengthening the bonds between faculty members and staff.
Synergy Between Health and Nature Conservation
The morning kicked off with an energetic group exercise session that set a vibrant tone for the day. This was followed by the Green Walk, where participants enjoyed a scenic stroll across the campus grounds. Beyond physical wellness, GROW 2026 manifested its commitment to the planet through a symbolic tree-planting movement.
This tree-planting initiative serves as a core pillar of SCS’s support for the “Green Campus” program and environmental sustainability. Each seedling planted represents a green investment that will provide long-term benefits to the campus ecosystem.
Small Steps for a Great Impact
Under the theme “Small steps today, for a better world tomorrow,” the event successfully fostered collective awareness regarding the importance of environmental preservation alongside professional life. Furthermore, a strong sense of kinship was felt throughout the activities, reinforcing a harmonious working culture within the faculty.
“GROW is not just about staying healthy; it is about how we, as one big family, can make a tangible contribution to a better world through our unity,” stated a faculty representative.
Deep appreciation is extended to all participants who took part in this green journey. As the event concluded, SCS hopes that the spirit of growth, movement, and positive impact will remain in the hearts of every individual for a greener future.
