Digital Content Creation Training for Promotion and Learning at Jaisyul Quran Islamic Boarding School

Bandung, March 13 2025 – As a form of social responsibility, lecturers from the Communication Science Program at Telkom University held a Digital Content Creation Training at Jaisyul Quran Islamic Boarding School. The training, conducted on February 15, 2025, is part of the university’s commitment to Tri Dharma, particularly in community service. Community service is a regularly conducted activity aimed at applying practical knowledge. Therefore, students were also involved in this event.

In this digital era, promotion through social media is crucial for expanding the reach of information dissemination. Adapting to new technologies is essential and should be continuously pursued. Therefore, in this Digital Content Creation Training, participants were not only taught theory but also engaged in direct practice.

The training was attended by 29 teachers from Jaisyul Quran Islamic Boarding School at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. The material was presented by Diah A. Esfandari, B.A., M.Si., and Kevin Tiffany Andriano. The topics covered included Instagram content creation strategies and application usage to support content production. After the presentation and hands-on practice, participants were instructed to create digital content, which was then evaluated and given direct feedback from the trainers. At the end of the training, three groups were selected as the best content creators.

“This training is expected to enhance the teachers’ skills in creating engaging digital content and increase their understanding of marketing strategies through digital media. Furthermore, with appealing content, Jaisyul Quran Islamic Boarding School can attract more prospective students and donors, as well as expand its network in the future,” said Dr. Rita Destiwati, M.Si., the head of the organizing committee of this event.
