CoE DICTUM Halal Bi Halal Seminar: Dissecting Strategies for West Java Health Data Integration
BANDUNG, April 2020, 2026 – Leveraging the momentum of Eid al-Fitr, the Center of Excellence (CoE) DICTUM successfully hosted a seminar titled “Untangling the Complexities of Public Health Data in West Java.” The event, held in Bandung on Friday, April 17, 2026, combined the traditional Halal Bi Halal gathering with crucial scientific discussions regarding public health transformation.
The seminar highlighted the complexities of health data management in West Java, which currently faces significant fragmentation challenges. The discussion focused on mapping and identifying data issues that directly impact the accuracy of policy-making at the regional level.
Data Fragmentation and Policy Challenges
One of the primary points discussed was the impact of health data fragmentation. The lack of synchronization between agencies is considered a major obstacle to formulating precise policies. CoE DICTUM emphasized that without integrated data, public health interventions will not achieve optimal results.
Medical Records as the Foundation of Digital Health
Beyond administrative data issues, the seminar also addressed technical aspects, specifically the importance of strengthening electronic medical records. Medical records are viewed not merely as clinical notes but as the fundamental pillar of the digital health ecosystem currently under development.
With a standardized medical record system, healthcare services are expected to become more efficient, accurate, and responsive to patient needs. This aligns with the national digital transformation vision, which calls for information transparency and ease of data access for medical professionals.
Cross-Sector Collaboration
In closing, the seminar reached a consensus that cross-sector collaboration is the key. Synergy between academics, health practitioners, and the government is essential to “untangle the knot” of data in West Java, aiming to create a more resilient and unified health system in the future.
