KUALA LUMPUR, January 25, 2026 – The School of Communication and Social Sciences (SCS) at Telkom University has once again strengthened its international presence through cross-border academic collaboration. Held at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Malaysia, the “International Talk on Animation Film Industry and Identity Storytelling between Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines” was successfully convened on January 13, 2026.

Exploring Identity Through Animation

The event was designed to provide students with international exposure to storytelling practices within the Southeast Asian animation industry. Furthermore, the discussion aimed to enhance academic understanding of the role of animation film festivals as strategic platforms for culture, education, and industry.

The talk featured three experts from different national backgrounds to provide comprehensive comparative perspectives:

  1. Idola Perdini Putri, S.Sos., M.Si., Ph.D., CPS (Representing Indonesia from Telkom University).
  2. Sgt. Lloyd Luna (Representing the Philippines).
  3. Dr. Fauzi Naeim (Representing Malaysia from UniKL).
